Corrective jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery) treats and corrects abnormalities of the facial bones, specifically the jaws and the teeth. These abnormalities are typically associated with large overbites, underbites, anterior open bites, facial asymetries and esthetics. The goal of orthognathic surgery is to correct these problems and, in conjunction with orthodontic treatment, improve the bite as well as the overall appearance of facial esthetics and to enhance self-esteem.

As you would expect, patients requiring orthognathic surgery are the exception. We look forward to your visit.
